1 - A remarkable exhibition “Montmartre Notre histoire”
From July 4 to September 10, 2016
Mairie of the18th arrondissement
Produced in collaboration with the Mairie of the18th arrondissement, the exhibition narrates the story of the Butte, its cultural and social life, through the eyes of Le Vieux Montmartre, its love for this village and its struggles to protect its heritage.
This voyage back in time, staged by Christophe Arnaud, is illustrated by numerous documents found in our archives. From Montmartre or just in love with Montmartre, young or old, one will discover the charm of this historic village famous for its Moulin Rouge and its spectacles, the Morris pillars and its old posters, but also, a docu-fiction “Une vie à Montmartre”, the film of introduction to the visit of the Museum on rue Cortot that retraces the life of Montmartre through the eyes of Suzanne Valadon.
The exhibition integrates the projection of a selection of films produced by the students of La Fémis, who is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

Mairie of the18th arrondissement
Directed and produced by Philippe Cochinard, narrated by Jean-Manuel Gabert, this film recounts the history of the Butte from an oblique view and is enriched by unpublished archival documents.
4 – An innovative Journal-Poster
A journal that has the particularity to unfold and transform itself into a poster, in order to display illustrations of magazines from the end of the XIXth century and beginning of the XXth, that form part of the collection of Le Vieux Montmartre.
The launching of No. 0 will take place during the second semester.
5 – A special historical issue of our Bulletin
To publish a Bulletin “Montmartre Notre histoire” telling the story of the Société Le Vieux Montmartre from its creation to our day.
Thus, all who are interested in our Association from near or far, will have the possibility to discover, in the slightest detail, the primordial role that Le Vieux Montmartre played and still plays in the constitution and protection of the patrimony of Montmartre’s culture and architecture.
6 – “Montmartre saves Montmartre”, a surprising film of our history
The narration of the history of Le Vieux Montmartre also tells the history of the Butte. Such is the aim of this audio-visual production initiated by Pascal Drapier, which will demonstrate the vigilance and the implication of the Association in the safeguard of the patrimony of Montmartre.
The historic, literary and pictorial archives of Le Vieux Montmartre assembled in the Museum rue Cortot, will illustrate this documentary punctuated with films and archival images, but also with interviews of our great witnesses.
